Spring Green

About Spring Green

Morning comes early on the Grand Strand, and the first cut of the day happens while the dew is still heavy on the streets that run down toward Withers Swash. Spring Green keeps the lawn-care rounds here in Myrtle Beach — mowing, edging, string trimming, and blowing the clippings clean off the walk before the heat gets serious about the day. Sandy soil and salt air make their own rules, so mower height and the feeding schedule get set to what centipede and Bermuda actually want in this stretch of coast. There is a plain satisfaction in the line a good edge leaves against a concrete drive, straight as a chalk mark and holding all the way to the curb. By the time traffic thickens on Kings Highway, the yard is quiet, striped, and put back together.
