About Shep's Landscaping & Nursery

West of the village the Francis Marion pines stand in long ranks, and the yards backed up against them gather straw the way the creek gathers tide. Shep's Landscaping & Nursery keeps those lawns mown and edged straight through the Lowcountry summer, when thunderheads pile over Bulls Bay by midafternoon and empty out in twenty minutes flat. The day is built around that clock: cut early, trim close, clear the clippings before the sky changes its mind. When autumn comes the work turns to leaves and yard cleanup, hauling off whatever the oaks and pines decide to let go. Nothing elaborate is being claimed here — only that a McClellanville lawn can be soft underfoot and squared at the edges at the same time.
