Southern States Co-Op

About Southern States Co-Op

The land around Little Rock is farm country first: long rows, wide sky, a horizon broken only by a treeline and a grain bin. Southern States Co-Op handles lawn care in that setting, mowing and trimming and keeping grounds in order where a yard is a green square set into working ground. There is a plain pleasure in that contrast, the neat cut against the field, and in the truth that it only stays that way by doing it again and again. The Pee Dee growing season is generous, so the mowers run from earliest spring well into fall. When the fields are disked under for winter, the leaves and the beds become the day's work.
