Saluda Hill Landscapes

About Saluda Hill Landscapes

West of town the ground tilts, falling away in long red-clay slopes toward the Saluda, and every spring rain tests whatever is holding it. Saluda Hill Landscapes works those angled yards — mowing across the grade, trimming the banks a mower can't take, edging the walks where the hill meets the house. Mulch goes down thick in the beds, shrubs are pruned to shape, and borders are re-cut so the lines follow the land instead of arguing with it. Autumn brings the hardwoods down, and the leaves come off the grass and out of the beds before winter settles in. A hillside lawn kept even and green is harder won than a flat one, and it shows.
