About Midlands

Lexington sits where the sand of the coastal plain runs up against red clay, and a yard here can change character across the width of a single lot. Midlands works both kinds — reading the ground, setting a cut height that suits it, keeping the mowing regular enough that the grass never has to recover from anything. Edges are held along drives and walks, string trimming cleans the fence lines and the mailbox, and the concrete is cleared before the truck moves on. Bed maintenance, mulch and hedge trimming carry the look the rest of the way. On a July afternoon with the horizon going white with heat, a lawn cut clean is about the most orderly thing in sight.
