Fourteen Mile Creek runs dark and low behind the subdivisions, and the ground it drains stays soft and green long after the rest of Lexington has dried out. Gators Lawn & Landscape works those bottom yards and the ones up on higher sand alike — mowing, trimming, edging, and clearing the drive so nothing tracks back inside. Beds are pulled by hand and mulched, hedges cut back to shape, and the damp corners near the treeline get the extra pass they always need. By November the oak and hickory leaves come down heavy and the job turns to hauling them out. Every route ends with a look from the street, where the whole thing has to look finished.
