About The Southern Seed

Ask anyone who cuts grass around Lancaster and they will tell you the year really begins in October, when the soil is still warm, the nights cool off, and seed finally has a chance. The Southern Seed works that window and the whole calendar wrapped around it — mowing, string trimming, edging, bed cleanup and mulch, leaf clearing as the hardwoods come down. Fall is thin-lawn season, and the answer is patience plus somebody coming back every week. By spring, the yards that got attention in October are the ones that fill in thick and even.
