Johns Island still farms — tomato rows and long sandy fields opening out behind the tree lines — and spring shows up here early, greening the whole island before March is finished. Gro-Masters works that first flush: putting lawns back on a schedule, cutting edges along drives and walkways, clearing the winter's leftovers out of the beds and laying fresh mulch. The growing season on this island is long and generous, which means mowing barely pauses from early spring to late fall. Shrubs get taken back to shape, hand trimming catches what the mower cannot reach, and clippings are carried away instead of left to yellow. The aim is simple: a lawn that looks deliberate every week, not just the week after it was cut.
