About Team Mercee Services

Late February in Iva is all dormant bermuda and bare pecan limbs, and then one warm week arrives and the whole place is green at once. Team Mercee Services meets that first flush with mowing, edging, trimming and cleanup, setting the season's pattern before it gets away from anybody. The round covers the small grid of streets in town and the long gravel drives that run out toward Starr and Calhoun Falls. There's a real pleasure in the first good cut of the year — the smell of it, the stripe of it, a yard suddenly awake. After that it's just showing up, again and again, until the year winds back down.
