About Dixie Forestry and Grading Co

East of Heath Springs the granite breaks straight up through the ground at Forty Acre Rock, and in early spring small flowers come up in the seams of it. Dixie Forestry and Grading Co works the yards and rough ground out that way — mowing, trimming, edging, and cutting brush and overgrowth back where the woods crowd in. Lancaster County soil turns from red clay to sand inside a few miles, and the grass shows exactly where that line falls. Bringing an overgrown place back to something mowable is the part worth standing back to look at. After that, it only needs keeping.
