About Carolina Services Grounds Division

Summer afternoons in Hanahan arrive with a warning: a thunderhead stacking white over the Lowcountry, twenty loud minutes of rain, then steam lifting off the streets of Tanner Plantation. Carolina Services Grounds Division reads that clock and works ahead of it, finishing mowing, edging and hedge trimming while the sky still holds. Wide lawns here grow fast in the wet heat, and keeping them even takes a rotation that returns before the grass gets ahead. There is a real satisfaction in pulling off a street where every property line is trimmed square and not a clipping is left on the curb. Wet season or dry, the yards on the list get their turn.
