Kings Tree Service

About Kings Tree Service

A freight train still comes through Greer Station in the evening, and you can hear it from the yards a few streets over, where oaks lean out above brick sidewalks and porch roofs. Kings Tree Service covers Greer from those depot blocks out to the farms near Lake Cunningham — removals where a trunk has gone hollow, trimming to take weight off a roofline or a fence, pruning that keeps a shade tree in its own lane. Upstate storms come in from the west in spring with little warning, and the day after is given over to cleanup: a top out of a pine, a fence to free, a yard made walkable again. There is a plain satisfaction in the last look around, with no limbs left in the grass and the tree either gone or better than it was. Greer, Duncan, Lyman, Taylors and the country along the Enoree are all within reach.
