Jefferson Grass Cutters

About Jefferson Grass Cutters

By July, Goose Creek runs on cicada noise and the promise of a four o'clock thunderstorm, and grass along St. James Avenue puts on an inch every time you turn your back. Jefferson Grass Cutters exists for exactly that stretch of the calendar, a mowing route that shows up when it says it will, week after week, so no yard ever gets away from its owner. The work is straightforward and done properly: an even cut at the right height, close trimming around posts and beds, edges run along the walk, clippings cleared off the concrete instead of left to stain it. Warm-season turf rewards that kind of rhythm; it thickens and closes in until the weeds have nowhere left to start. A yard on the route stays quietly handsome all summer, which is the whole point.
