Holley's Tree Service

About Holley's Tree Service

Up in the sandhills the soil goes pale and dry underfoot and the longleafs carry their crowns high above everything else — a fine thing to look at, right up until one of them lets go. Holley's Tree Service takes those down around Elgin: the leaners, the ones lightning found, the ones whose roots quit holding in loose sand. Summer storms here arrive late in the afternoon and mean it, and a January ice glaze will bow a pine until it cannot stand back up; either way the work is the same, and it starts wherever a truck cannot get out. Trimming and pruning fill the calm weeks, opening a crown so a house sits in dappled light instead of shadow. Elgin, Lugoff, Camden, Blythewood and the roads out toward Ridgeway all count as close.
