Lawnworks

About Lawnworks

The clay around Edgefield runs a deep, unmistakable red, and it shows on every mower tire by the end of a morning. Lawnworks keeps yards up here on the Ridge — mowing, edging, string trimming, and hauling off whatever the wind and the pecans have left behind. The land tilts toward peach country in every direction, and a lawn cut clean against that red-orange soil reads like a line somebody drew on purpose. The route runs from the streets off the courthouse square out to houses set back among the pines. What stays behind is a straight edge along the walk, the clippings blown off the drive, and a yard that plainly looks meant.
