Southerland Tree Service

About Southerland Tree Service

January is the honest month for tree work. With the crowns bare, Southerland Tree Service can read an old hardwood at a glance — where a limb has died, where a fork has been failing, what one season of pruning will do for the summer. Removals go easier then too: firm ground, a dormant yard, a neighborhood quiet enough to hear the saw stop. When a line of wind runs up out of the southwest and puts a limb through a fence, storm cleanup starts before the sky has finished with it. What stays with people is the after — sawdust swept, tire tracks raked out, a driveway open again by dark, from Darlington through Sardis, Lydia and the crossroads out that way.
