The Lawnmower Man

About The Lawnmower Man

A mower deck is a simple thing that punishes carelessness — dull blades tear instead of cut, and the whole yard browns at the tips by evening. The Lawnmower Man takes the machine seriously so the lawn doesn't have to: keen blades, one even height, straight passes worked out from the longest line in the yard. Trimming closes the gaps a deck can never reach, and the blower sends the green back onto the grass and off the walk. In a Darlington neighborhood, that engine going by on the same day each week is part of how the week gets measured. Neighborhood routes in Darlington and Dovesville.
