About SC Lawn Services

South of Columbia the land flattens toward the Congaree floodplain, where bald cypress stand in black water and evening arrives early under the canopy. SC Lawn Services works the ground above it — Hopkins, Gadsden, Eastover and the city itself — mowing, edging, trimming and blowing, with mulch in the beds and cleanups when the leaves come down. Bottomland heat grows grass in a hurry and weeds faster still, so the schedule is the strategy. A mowed lawn set against all that wildness is a small and satisfying kind of order. By dusk the yards are cut, the walks are clean, and the cypress take the last of the light.
