About 1 Man Does It Lawn Service

The workday starts before the heat does in Columbia, when dew still silvers the grass and the ground along the shoulder is dark with night damp. One truck, one trailer, one set of blades kept sharp — that is the whole operation, and it means a yard gets somebody's full attention from the first pass to the last swept sidewalk. Mowing follows the roll of the ground, up the gentle rise of a front lawn and back down toward the ditch line, with the trimmer catching fence posts and the mailbox on the way. By mid-morning the smell of cut grass has settled over the street and the edges stand crisp against the drive. It is plain work carried all the way into the corners, week after week, for neighbors who notice a tidy yard.
