Crescent Moon

About Crescent Moon

By October on James Island the evenings cool early, and a thin moon rises over the marsh while the last of the light still lies on the water. Crescent Moon handles the mowing, edging and trimming that keeps yards along Folly Road and the side streets looking tended. Grass grows most of the year in this part of Charleston, so the calendar never truly closes — it only slows, and the trimming and cleanup matter more once the growth eases. Each lawn is left with its borders cut sharp and the walkways bare, the sort of finish people notice from the street without quite knowing why. When the porch lights come on, the yard beneath them looks settled.
