Barnhill's Tree Services

About Barnhill's Tree Services

Camden mornings in spring come with mist on the pastures and hoofbeats on the training track before most of town is awake. Barnhill's Tree Services works the sandy lanes and horse-farm fence lines around it — longleaf pines taken down when they have gotten too tall for the house they lean over, live oaks trimmed so the low limbs clear a drive, unhurried pruning on the big shade trees of the old streets. Storms off the Wateree find the weak leader every time, and after one the work is limbs off the fence, brush chipped and the grass swept clean. The part worth staying for is the look of a lawn reopened under a canopy that has finally been given room. Camden, Elgin, Lugoff, Bethune and the country out toward the river.
