Branchville Lawn and Garden

About Branchville Lawn and Garden

Branchville grew up around a fork in the rails, the place where one line became two, and the town still keeps that habit of clean division — field from road, lawn from bed, one green edge from the next. Branchville Lawn and Garden works those lines early, while the Orangeburg County flatland still holds its night coolness and the pines along the tracks throw long shadows across the grass. Mowing, trimming and edging make up most of a day here, along with the blow-down that leaves a driveway looking swept. Stepping back at the end of a yard to see the cut rows run true all the way to the ditch line is its own kind of payment. Whatever the summer sends — heat, rain, more heat — the grass keeps growing, and so does the route through town.
