Gerry's Lawn Service

About Gerry's Lawn Service

Andrews sits low among the pine flatwoods, the Black River off to one side and the old rail line running straight through the middle of town. Gerry's Lawn Service cuts grass in that heat, the kind that comes up wet off the ground by nine in the morning, and keeps at it through the long Williamsburg County summer. Mowing, edging, weed trimming and blowing the walks clear are the standard round; leaf and limb cleanup follows when the season shifts, and mulch goes into the beds where pine needles fall thickest. Yards run large out here, and a big yard cut well is its own quiet accomplishment. Come evening, when the light goes level across fresh-mown grass, the whole place looks settled.
