D and B's Lawn Care and BushHogging

About D and B's Lawn Care and BushHogging

Head south and east out of Anderson toward Starr and Iva and the subdivisions thin into pasture, hayfield and pine, with fence lines that disappear into blackberry if a season goes by unattended. D and B's Lawn Care and BushHogging works both ends of that map: the weekly mow in town, and the rough acreage where the tractor and cutter earn their keep. There is a particular pleasure in dropping a shoulder-high field back to stubble in an afternoon and finding the shape of the land again underneath it. Closer to the house it turns fine-grained — trimmed fence rows, edged walks, grass cut even across the septic mound and the ditch bank. Lot lines, food plots, fields left too long: it all cuts, given the right machine and a full day.
