Shade Tree Landscapes

About Shade Tree Landscapes

Under Aiken's old live oaks and longleaf pines the light comes down in pieces, and grass grown in that dapple asks to be handled differently than grass out in the open. Shade Tree Landscapes mows it a little taller, works the trimmer carefully around surface roots, and keeps the ground beneath the canopy clear of what the trees are forever dropping. On a May afternoon near the edge of Hitchcock Woods the job is half mowing and half housekeeping — leaf litter raked out of the beds, shrubs eased back off the walk, drives cleared down to bare concrete. What you get back is a yard that looks cool and kept in the middle of a Carolina summer. Shade is a gift; it only asks for tending.
