About Pellegrino Landscaping & Tree

A mower's steady pass, the low roar of the chipper, the bucket rising into a maple's high branches — the work here keeps a cadence you can hear from the road. Pellegrino Landscaping & Tree carries lawns from seeding to mowing, sets trees and shrubs into Westerly's stony coastal ground, trims back what has grown unruly, takes down hazardous limbs and whole trees, and hauls in mulch and woodchip by the load. Westerly wears its granite plainly — in the field walls, in the mill streets bending along the Pawcatuck, in the salt light that lifts up off the water — and a lawn cut clean against all that hard grey reads like an answer to it. When winter takes the color out of the harbor sky, the machines change over and drives get opened before anyone is awake to see it. What stays behind is the crisp edge, the mulch bed dark and even, the tree standing exactly where someone decided it should stand.
