Stateline tree works

About Stateline tree works

There is a particular satisfaction in the first pass of the plow: the driveway coming back to itself in one clean dark stripe while the field beside it stays untouched and white. Stateline tree works clears snow in Tiverton, where the wind comes up off the Sakonnet with nothing much to slow it and the old stone walls disappear under drift by morning. The work happens early here — walkways opened, turnarounds widened, the lane cut and squared before the first gray light reaches the water. By the time the town is awake, the pavement is bare, the banks are pushed back where they belong, and a house on Main Road looks like the storm simply passed it by.
