Arruda & sons

About Arruda & sons

When a nor'easter drives in off Rhode Island Sound and the snow blows sideways across Main Road, Arruda & sons is out in it. The job is plowing and clearing through the long middle of the storm, so Tiverton driveways are not left sitting buried until morning. Headlights cut through the swirl, the blade drops, and heavy, wet Atlantic snow is shouldered back into tall, orderly banks. Come daylight the storm may still be grumbling over the river, but the way out is open. There is a deep satisfaction in that: the whole world white and stalled, and your own drive plain to the pavement.
