The back roads toward Westconnaug run to gravel and then to shade, and every few hundred yards there's a house with grass that needs keeping. The trailer drops, the work gets done, the trailer goes up, and the yard left behind is squared away. Doing it steadily, week after week, is what keeps a lawn thick rather than merely cut. By evening there's a line of tidy dooryards down one long road, and that makes a good day.
