About Hawk-Eye Lawn Services Inc

Late afternoon in Hope, the North Branch of the Pawtuxet runs low and bright under the bridge and the light comes sideways through the maples along the mill road. Hawk-Eye Lawn Services Inc works the lawns of Scituate in exactly that light — weekly mowing, trimming, the spring wake-up, and the long fall of leaves that follows it. Yards near the river are half shade and half sun, so cutting one well means reading the ground before the mower ever touches it. The name suits the work: the eye that catches the missed strip, the ragged corner by a fence post, a bed line gone soft over the summer. By dusk the grass lies even and the borders are sharp enough to read from the road.
