Gavin's Greenscapes

About Gavin's Greenscapes

May in Clayville arrives all at once — the stone walls warm up, the grass gets ahead of itself, and every yard on the road wants cutting the same week. Gavin's Greenscapes takes that rush gladly: weekly mowing, edging, string trimming around posts and foundations, spring cleanups to clear the winter's litter and fall cleanups once the leaves let go. Out this way a lawn runs right up to the woods, so the line between kept and wild gets drawn by hand, and drawn well. There is a particular good feeling in stepping back from a finished yard with the mower ticking as it cools and the smell of cut grass hanging in the air. That smell is most of a Rhode Island summer.
