Labonte Lawn Care Etc.

About Labonte Lawn Care Etc.

August is dust and long shadows: the sidewalks busy until dark, sprinklers ticking somewhere down the block, lawns holding on through the hot weeks. Labonte Lawn Care Etc. sets the deck high through these weeks so the blades shade their own roots, and cuts late in the day once the heat has let go. Trimming around old cherry trunks and porch steps, running a clean line along the strip between sidewalk and street, sending the clippings back onto the turf where they can still do some good — small moves, and a yard shows every one of them. There is a plain pleasure in pulling away at dusk with the rows running true across a property. When cooler weather comes back in the fall, those same lawns green up fast and the whole rhythm begins again.
