In late April, when the Woonasquatucket runs high and the maples on College Hill go from bud to full canopy in what feels like a single week, Jeff's Landscaping LLC is already out with the mower and the mulch. They take on landscaping from design through installation and maintenance across Providence — lawn care and gardening, mulch laid dark against new green, bushes and hedges trimmed back to a clean line, sod rolled down and watered in, and the seasonal cleanups that empty a yard of one season so it can hold the next. When winter comes off the bay they clear snow, so a driveway is open and dark before the first grey light reaches the mill-brick streets. It is plain physical work, and it shows in the result: a yard on a narrow city lot that looks tended, edge to edge, all the way around the calendar.
