Green Yard

About Green Yard

Green Yard keeps lawns in Providence, Rhode Island — a city stitched across seven hills, where the Woonasquatucket and the Moshassuck slide together and run down toward the bay. The work here is mowing and lawn care: even passes across a triple-decker's side yard, borders trimmed tight to a granite curb, the smell of cut grass lifting into salt-damp June air. There is a plain, physical satisfaction in the after — grass combed flat and true, edges drawn clean against the sidewalk, a yard that holds its shape all week. Between mill-brick streets and the leafy blocks off the boulevard, Green Yard tends the green of Providence and its neighboring towns, one clean pass at a time.
