New England Lawn Maintenance

About New England Lawn Maintenance

The day opens with a pull-cord and a warm-up, the mower finding its register, the trimmer picking up the line where a blade can't reach — lawn care and snow removal, done by hand and machine in Pawtucket. This is a city of brick mills and bending streets above the Blackstone's falls, where every yard is a small green clearing cut into hard-working ground, and the summer reward is the edge: that crisp seam between grass and walk that makes a modest lot look tended from clear down the block. Winter asks for something quieter and earlier — a drive scraped to the pavement while the mill windows are still dark, walks opened so the first car of the morning rolls out clean. Season by season the work leaves its mark on the place, in the way a yard keeps its shape long after the truck has gone.
