April arrives at Slater Park in stages — the pond first, then the carousel house, then the grass all at once and greedy for light. Above & Beyond Landscape starts the Pawtucket season right about then: the first cut of the year, edges recut, beds cleared of everything the winter dropped in them. After that it settles into the steady weekly pass, mowing and trimming until the yard forgets it was ever brown. A city lot done well feels bigger than its measurements. That is most of what this work is for.
