Whittier Landscape

About Whittier Landscape

Dooryards in North Kingstown run right up to the stone walls, and the lanes bending toward Wickford carry a little salt in the air even in July. Whittier Landscape keeps the grass along those roads mown in even passes and edged true, so a yard reads crisp against old granite and older oaks. Come winter the work starts before there is any light on the bay — driveways pushed open, walks cleared, a front door free to swing wide on a white morning. There is a plain satisfaction in the result: a lawn holding its line to the street, a place that looks tended from the mailbox in.
