Sutherland's Organic Solutions

About Sutherland's Organic Solutions

The Woonasquatucket runs along the north edge of town, low and brown-green under the alders, and that whole valley wakes up a full two weeks before the higher ground bothers to. Sutherland's Organic Solutions starts its year down there — cleanups that rake winter debris out of the beds, mowing set to encourage thick top growth, aeration and overseeding for the tired patches, feeding scheduled to when the grass can use it. Summer becomes rhythm: cut, trim, edge, blow the clippings off the walk, and leave as though nobody had been there at all except the lawn looks better. Autumn is leaves, and plenty of them, cleared off before the first hard freeze locks them in place. A Johnston yard kept on that pattern only gets easier to keep.
