About Lawn Care Inc

West of the highway Johnston still keeps its farm country: stone walls trailing off into the treeline near Snake Den, hayfields going gold in the long light of June. Lawn Care Inc works the lawns in that same landscape — mowing, trimming, edging and clearing the clippings so a yard is left with nothing but a straight line and the smell of fresh grass. There is a real satisfaction in the last pass, when the stripes come up true and the border along the walk reads sharp as a pencil mark. Some properties here are small squares behind a chain-link fence; others run back toward the ledge and the old orchard ground. Every one of them is brought to the same tidy shape, week after week, from the first green flush of April to the last leaf-heavy cut of the fall.
