About Johnny's Landscaping And Tree Service

October in Johnston arrives sideways — one week the oaks along the Pocasset are still holding their color, the next a hard wind lays a limb across the driveway, and the work turns from mulch beds to saw and chipper. Johnny's Landscaping And Tree Service works that hinge in Johnston and Cranston: tree removal and trimming, stump grinding and removal, mulching, lawn care, and snow removal when the season swings the other way. There is a plain satisfaction in a heavy limb brought down clean over a rooftop, and in a stump ground flat until the grass can close over the spot as if nothing ever stood there. Come the first storm off the reservoir hills, it means being out ahead of the light, opening a drive down to the pavement so a Rhode Island morning can start on time. What's left behind is simple and worth looking at — dark mulch drawn tight to the beds, a yard that holds its shape from the first frost clear through to spring.
