Dower Stone plows Hopkinton through it, opening driveways and clearing walkways from the village streets out to the houses set far back in the woods. Storms this far southwest can begin as rain and end as ice, which changes how a driveway has to be cut and where the banks get laid. The point never changes, though: pavement clear to the edges, a path to the door, room enough to park. Snow removal handled storm by storm in a corner of the state that gets its share.
