About Hundred Acre Land Services LLC

The Queen's River runs cold through Exeter's stone walls and old pasture, and in winter the fields on either side hold a light that seems to rise up out of the ground itself. Hundred Acre Land Services LLC works this back country when the roads close in, plowing long rural driveways and clearing the lanes and parking areas that connect a house to the rest of the world. Wind is the local problem as much as snowfall: an open field will refill a lane an hour after it has been cut, so the passes are set to throw with the wind instead of fighting it. Steps and walks are shoveled, and sand goes down where the grade drops away toward the road. There is pride in reaching a place at four in the morning and leaving it looking untouched by the storm.
