LD'S Lawn Service

About LD'S Lawn Service

Rumford's streets were laid out around the old baking powder works, and the lawns behind those houses are square and level — the kind that show every pass of the mower. LD'S Lawn Service works Newman Avenue and the blocks running toward the Pawtucket line, holding grass at a steady height through the long green stretch from April to October. Spring opens with the cleanup: winter's litter raked out, beds cut back to a fresh edge, the turf woken up. Summer settles into the weekly mow, and autumn ends with the leaves hauled off before they mat down over the lawn. There is genuine pleasure in pulling away from a property that looks finished — trimmed, cleared, nothing left to second-guess.
