About North Smithfield Landscaping

Cumberland's dooryards run close to the road, hemmed by stone walls the frost keeps rearranging and shaded by maples older than the pavement. North Smithfield Landscaping works these Blackstone valley lots the way the ground asks to be worked — property maintenance for homes and commercial sites, lawn care, excavation and foundation digging, trenching for underground gas lines and generators, septic systems designed and set into ledge-stubborn soil, and the lawn knit back green over the scar when the machines have gone. Winter turns the job over: the plow goes out ahead of the light, and a drive that was one long grey drift at four in the morning is a squared, scraped lane by the time the kettle is on. There is a plain satisfaction in the result — the grade running true, the edge crisp, a backyard finally shaped the way its owners had been picturing it for years. They cover North Smithfield, Cumberland, Woonsocket and the Rhode Island towns nearby.
