About snow vision

In a Cranston whiteout the world narrows to whatever the headlights can find: a mailbox, a curb line, the corner of a walk you cleared last week. snow vision works in that narrow world, plowing driveways and lots along the Route 2 corridor and the streets that spill off it toward Meshanticut. Hand shoveling takes over where the blade stops — steps, landings, the path to the door. Salt and sand go where the shade keeps ice honest all day long. Then the sky lightens over the pond, and everything the storm buried is back where it belongs.
