About J&D Landscaping & Lawn Care Inc.

Northwest Rhode Island keeps its own weather: the hills above the Clear River hold their snow a day longer than the shoreline does, and the morning light arrives late here, filtered through white pine and old stone wall. J&D Landscaping & Lawn Care Inc. works that ground out of Burrillville — mowing and tending lawns through the long green stretch of the year, then turning to the plow when the mill-village lanes of Harrisville, Pascoag, and Oakland go white. There is a plain, physical pleasure in this line of work: the straight seam where grass stops and driveway begins, a dooryard cut clean to the ledge, a route finished and a path opened while the kitchen windows are still dark. Season after season, the same yards that carried their mower stripes all summer carry a scraped, walkable path to the door all winter. Quiet work, and you can see it from the road.
