Scott's Handy Services

About Scott's Handy Services

When a nor'easter drives up Narragansett Bay, Barrington takes it nearly head-on, the wind roaring past Nayatt Point and sending snow sideways through the sleeping streets. Scott's Handy Services is a handy-services business that handles snow removal in Barrington. The work begins in the dark, while the old lighthouse at the point stands pale against the storm. Coastal snow is dense with moisture here, so moving it calls for patience: steady passes, piles set where the thaw won't flood the walk, sides trimmed back until the drive looks whole again. By sunrise the bay lies gray and calm, and the driveway is a dark ribbon running all the way to the street.
