The old railbed runs the length of Barrington as the East Bay Bike Path, a green seam between the river and the neighborhoods on either side of it. Greenway Lawn Care works both halves of the year along those streets — mowing, trimming and edging from April through the leaf-down of November, then plowing and shoveling once the weather turns hard. Rhode Island winters like to send rain that stiffens into ice overnight, so clearing a drive means salting it as well, before the morning gets away from anybody. Cleanups in spring and fall reset each property at either end of the growing season. One outfit, twelve months, the same yards looked after whichever way the year is leaning.
