About Erney Landscaping

The first warm week of April in Zionsville, and the fields along the Hosensack turn from brown to something like green almost overnight. Erney Landscaping starts its year right there — first cuts, edges reopened along walks and drives, beds turned and mulched, fertilizer down before the weeds get any ideas. Upper Milford's ground is old farm soil, generous when it is fed and aerated, and it will carry a heavy dark lawn straight through a Lehigh Valley August. There is a moment at the end of a visit — blower run, tools loaded — when a yard just sits there looking cared for, and that moment is the whole point of the trade. The work runs late into the fall here, right up until the red barns south of the village wear frost on their roofs at dawn.
