About Ken Bergren, Inc.

The levee path along the West Branch fills with walkers by six on a June morning, and the lawns on the streets just inside it wake up right behind them. Ken Bergren, Inc. keeps those yards on rhythm — mowed at a height that holds its color through a dry week, trimmed around every obstacle, edged along drive and walk. Mulch goes down in spring while the beds are still open; leaves come out in fall before they mat and smother the grass. The work is unglamorous, weekly, and completely visible — you can tell from the sidewalk which houses are on a schedule. That is the whole satisfaction of it.
